Well, our year is off to a good start! We have lots of great things happening in our class. Our kids have done lots of graphing and we have learned that we love chicken and apples to eat and soda to drink. (We are going to have to kick that soda habit!)
Right now, we are learning about community helpers. We have met our principal and our assistant principal, our cafeteria manager, and our custodians. The kids love to wave at all of them now in the halls, because we know who they are! One of the books we have read to go along with this study is The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog by Mo Willems. We read this one when we met our cafeteria manager. It just happened to be hot dog day for lunch! If you have never read one of the Pigeon books, you should give them a try. We were rolling in the floor and laughing so hard!
To our friends in Bolton's Media Center classes: Let us know what you think of one of the Pigeon books if you get a chance. We would like to know if you think they are as funny as we do! Look below to take part in our poll!
